  1. awesome podcast like always. Personally love Ridge Racer too, I don’t think we need to worry about the Vita version, Hideo Teramoto the guy behind R4, R PSP, R7 is working at Celius now and he is behind this project too!!! And we also got the same “music guy”, looks like you cant go wrong with this one.

  2. I enjoy your show. I drive a truck all day and listen to the long podcast. It keeps my interest the whole show. I thank Mark Singer, ex-ps nation host, for the reference to your show. Keep up the good work….

  3. I totally get where Shidoshi’s coming from on the 3d Nintendo stuff. I was never that fun of Mario 64. The only 3d Mario I really like is Sunshine, and that’s mainly because it has the ambiance of a Sega game. While I like Ocarina of Time, I don’t think it is anything more than a solid 3d action game, and I don’t think somebody really playing it for the first time in the year 2011 could understand why it stole so many hearts back in the 90s. Everybody liked it so much because it presented a world that seemed like it had and endless amount of secrets hidden around the corner. Now, we can recognize that it is kind of a small, empty game world, but back then its possibilities seemed endless. I mean, who didn’t spend hours and hours and even whole days over summer break looking for the Triforce. Without that aspect, it is just a little game that has a formula that has been run into the ground. IT still has nice atmosphere though. (Majora’s is better, but it is debatable if it is a better game)

  4. Hope you guys are back on track, this podcast is by far one of the most entertaining and informative! While you surely all have real jobs, it is sorely missed in the months between episodes.

    Keep it up!

  5. Totally agree with you guys on Nintendo’s showing.

Wii U is a stupid name, the controller can’t even do multitouch (so forget two-player games like air hockey using just one controller), it doesn’t upscale Wii games, and some of the demos looked retarded (who wants to mount that thing onto a gun, or put it on the floor to show a golf ball when you swing?). The fact it can only stream in the same room as the console is another major issue. It’s also not much of a bonus to stream content when most families have multiple tvs… maybe that’s a selling feature in Japan, but not in the U.S..

Also, the system doesn’t appear to be enough of a graphical leap. If Sony and Microsoft announce new systems in 2013 for release in 2014, Nintendo will only get 3rd party support (if they do at all) for 2 years before their system will be underpowered yet again.

Some of the best-looking Wii titles weren’t at the show (Last Story, Xenoblade, Pandora’s Tower, Earth Seeker). That’s some bullshit right there. They didn’t even show Dragon Quest X, which could have been huge.

The 3DS was the best thing they had there. Luigi’s Mansion 2 looks neat. I don’t get why Kid Icarus has a multiplayer mode, seems kinda pointless. It’s also sad that Sakurai has seemingly been forced into making another batch of Smash Bros. titles (versions for the Wii U and the 3DS? WTF?).

Also, PS Vita launching at the same price as 3DS was the announcement of the show.

  6. Whoa… WHOA. Biggest news of this podcast was that Shidoshi hasn’t fucking played a Zelda since Link’s Awakening on the GameBoy. That is some mind-blowing shit right there.

Look, I respect your opinion on things Shidoshi, I do — but you can’t call yourself a gamer if you haven’t played Ocarina of Time. Seriously, WTF.

  7. Hurry up and record a new podcast. If there’s a lack of news, spend 2 hours talking about anime boobs.
