That’s so great to hear, Bruce! Thank you for listening, and thank you for this comment! Oh, and please let us know if you have any questions that you’d like us to address the next time we go to record π

What are all of ya’lls impressions of the E3 announcement of Shenmue 3, Last Guardian, and FF7 remake? ( i don’t know if those are niche-y enough for the podcast though) i am so excited for all of them >_<
best nichey games you all are playing currently?
top 3 nichey games ever of all time?
also, thoughts on: the western release of Yokai Watch, Persona Another Episode, Persona Dancing, Persona 5, Yakuza 5
mollie – any interesting adventures from your last trip to Japan? (been checking your twitter)
bryan – I'm always wanting more gay content in my video games. do you have any games recomendations for gay gamers who want to see good examples of gay relationships, gay characters, or gay themes in their games? I guess the only one I can think of is the Sims or maybe Kanji in Persona 4 although i thought it was lame that naoto turned out to be a girl. (side note: I recently found out one of my favorite game bloggers is against gay marriage. she said it was because of her religion. but my heart honestly broke a little bit when she said that on her blog. i won't disclose her name. this was one of the most shocking things i've ever experienced in my gaming life… she wrote such interesting and funny reviews too. you're the most prominent gay gamer on the web in my opinion, so thank you for your blog, bryan.)
anne – how is your habanero plant/anime boyfriend doing? π

Ah, thanks for the awesome comment, Bruce!
I won’t address all of your questions here, as we’ve got to leave something for the next time we record a Nichiest ‘take,’ right?
That said, I can tell you that we were planning to talk about E3 announcements and reveals during the last episode, but we ended up pushing back our recording date a few times and so when it came time to get on the horn (so to speak) we kind of felt like the time had passed.
I love the other questions you posed here, though, and I hope we address at least a couple of them in future Nichiest takes–especially the one about top 3 nichiest games of all time π
Also, thank you for the kind words about my blog. I really appreciate them. I’m sorry I don’t spend much time on talking about gay issues, gay characters, gay storylines, etc. Honestly, I’m not entirely sure why that is, although I think it’s because I don’t always do the best job of keeping up on that sort of thing (games that feature gay characters, etc.) and also because I don’t feel confident that I could adequately talk about topics like gay representation in games. Maybe I’ll use that as a challenge in the future, though–to write about things that aren’t really my “bread and butter” for whatever reason.
Speaking of gay representation in games: it’s a subject I’ve written about a few times as a freelancer, but not for a number of years. So, I can’t provide a whole lot of time info in that regard for you at the moment. Let me do some digging this weekend, though, and get back to you early next week. Hopefully I’ll be able to send some suggestions your way.
Finally, I’m sorry one of your favorite bloggers broke your heart by coming out against marriage equality. That kind of thing always sucks π You thought you knew this person, and now you feel like that “relationship” is soiled. Hopefully she’ll come around eventually. If not, I guess it’s her loss in the end.
Thanks again for the comment, and happy Friday to you!

Haha, good thing I read this as I was just about to answer your question about the habanero π A couple years ago I probably would’ve said Tokimeki Memorial Girls Side 2nd Season was my favorite otome game, but now I’m a bit more partial to Moujuutsukai to Oujisama… That’s a toughie!

Molli have you consider trying the region free trick in one of those 3ds have?

I also had this random thought: Mollie, thank you for the Warning a Huge Podcast. I don’t know if there will be future episodes. But I remember one of the older podcasts, y’all talked about the Japanese version of Danganronpa. And I remember so vividly y’all talked about the descriptions of the school setting and the interesting storyline. Now seeing how far we’ve come and we’ve got 3 Danganronpa games in the U.S., it almost brings a nerdy tear to my eye. T_T it’s become one of my favorite game series and I heard about it first on WAHP. π

Oh my gosh, Moujuutsukai looks like it has such gorgeous artwork! I’ll definitely look into that. I’ll also check out Tokimeki 2nd season. I do have fond memories of playing Tokimeki Memorial Girls Side 1st Love. i pretend that the main character is a guy and i’m reliving the teenage years I never had. haha.

Moujuutsukai just came out on Vita, so I definitely recommend that version! You get the main game, plus the fan disc, and an all-new side story π The main character takes a lot of initiative in the plot, which I love π

It’s even funny for me sometimes going back and thinking about all of the games we mentioned on WAHP, and how many of them would end up being things I’d finally play or fall in love with later. Or, in the case of Criminal Girls, at least satisfy my rampant curiosity. *heh*

I still need to try! I’ve got the YouTube app, I just haven’t had time to give the whole method a go yet.
