hooray for the one true niche games podcast.
the only stuff i’ve seen from that -other- “niche” “gamer” group was, how shall i say….reactionary right-wing tripe? ^_^
Glad to hear it, CDDB! Hopefully we can keep you cheering for many podcasts to come ^^ Also, thanks for the comment and for listening!
BTW, shidoshi, although the proper spelling of “whoa” is, uh, whoa (as you have it spelled here), the game’s title actually is “Woah Dave!” I have no idea if that’s intentional on the part of its developers/publishers, or if they unknowingly put a typo into the title of their game 🙂
Oh hey…there is a whole other podcast on here! Morning Project…you spoil me. Great show! Shidoshi, Anne, Bryan, thank you for helping me manage the drudgery of my work day with your fun and lively insights. I’ve become quite the MP podcast junkie!
And Anne, GameStop is rather dreary and borderline terrifying in any state, really. Whether it it comes to selection or the atmosphere, I get depressed just walking by one.
Sorry for the late reply! I always forget people comment on here 😉 That’s too bad, I remember a few years ago I did manage to find some pretty awesome used games! But I guess pretty much anything is better than the shoddy selection in Australia…
On occasion you can find some gems, but sadly, that is more the exception as opposed to the rule. What was once a hub for gaming during the Golden Generation has deteriorated into a swap-house for tablets and bargain bin Wii games. I wasn’t kidding when I said that it depressed me to walk by them…it’s actually downright sad.
Add to that the fact that they will be bringing back retro trade ins, and you have the final death knell for the once proud monolith. (I don’t mean that retro games are bad; they are my fave, actually..but I foresee a gloomy future where bins sit, full-to-bursting with $1.00 copies of Madden 94 for the SNES or unusable copies of the Super Scope 6 carts…)
Ah, that’s such as shame 🙁
