Hello!
Great show, I thought I would provide some vita TV information.
So, the vita TV isn’t region locked… Now. Originally while you play games from any region of they were physical and on the list you could only log in with a PSN account from Japan or any of the regions the device eventually landed in.
However, shortly before the U.S. Release there was a firmware update that let you use any region on it. So, you were right in that the account stuff was a problem, but it’s all fixed now!
I bought one of them, it’s pretty nice if you just want to play the small collection of vita games listed, stream, play psp or ps1 on your TV. But, it’s a pretty crappy machine as a streaming box, unless all you plan to stream is crunchy roll.

Vita TV has HDCP so you’ll need a hdmi splitter to screen capture.
The region locking works exactly the same as the regular Vita.

Also the “box” is smaller than a deck of cards and most likely your phone. I doubt it will hardly be noticeable in terms of size.

@TKIM – I really want to get into doing more of my own capturing at some point, but all of the hardware I’ll need to do so is one of the things keeping me from it so far. *heh* It’s not a gigantic investment, but still enough (at least to do it right) to make it not an easy thing to just jump in to.

It’s too bad really, the HDCP is just unnecessary and annoying, bypassed by a cheapo $10-$20 splitter. I was hoping they would remove it after they patched the PS4 but no such luck. At least, once you get it going, the game capture looks great. Best way to capture PSP as well at least without an emulator, far better than the PSP component cable.
